Data Quality / Governance Analyst

The Data quality / Governance Analyst - you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accuracy, completeness, and consistency of the Finance for Future Programme's data assets. Your primary responsibility will be to evaluate, monitor, and improve the quality of data across various systems and platforms. You will work closely with business stakeholders from different LBUs to understand data requirements and define quality standards and metrics. You will be involved in developing and implementing data quality assurance processes, conducting data profiling and analysis, and identifying data quality issues and root causes.

**Role and Responsibilities**
- Ensure data quality and reconciliation in FDR is maintained with the adoption of data quality framework
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data quality requirements
- Conduct data profiling and ensure data quality analysis is compliant with Prudential framework and standard practice
- Establish data quality monitoring mechanisms to ensure ongoing data integrity and compliance for any data products
- Ensure data security, compliance, and governance standards are met

**Qualifications**
- Experience Level: have a strong analytical mindset, attention to detail, and a passion for ensuring data integrity and reliability.
- Education Level: Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree preferred.
- Personal Attributes: Excellent communication skills are essential, as you will be required to consult with business stakeholders
- Proficient in SQL for querying and analysing data, knowledge of programme languages such as python / R for data manipulation
- Experience with data visualization tools like Tableau, Power BI, or Qlik for creating data quality dashboards and reports
- Specific Skills: experience in both data projects and data quality governance software. e.g. Unity Catalog/ Collibra

**Mandatory skills**
- Expertise in data profiling tools and data cleansing / transformation techniques
- Strong background ETL processes and data integration tools
- Understanding of database management systems and data modelling concept
- Proficient in SQL for querying and manipulating data
- Experience in Agile and DevSecOps delivery methodology, quality practices, techniques, and tools
- Experience with cloud-based technologies incl. Microsoft Azure
- Experience with JIRA, Confluence, Github, Bitbucket and other similar developer tools.
