RPG undertakes the statutory functions in the rehabilitation of adult and youth offenders, and the protection of children and families. Our mission is to empower individuals and families to break cycles of abuse, neglect and offending.
As a Rehabilitation and Protection Officer, you influence and shape lives, and in the process, the future of the rehabilitation and protection landscape in Singapore.
To support your professional development, you will receive comprehensive training and develop foundational capabilities and knowledge on rehabilitation and protection work. You will also be given the opportunities to rotate to different exciting roles within RPG and broaden your perspectives, skills and experiences.
As part of the RPG family, the Probation and Community Rehabilitation Service (PCRS) is responsible for the effective rehabilitation of offenders on community-based orders with maximum participation of their families and the community. Through individual and family sessions and inter-agency collaborations, we deliver targeted interventions to steer probationers away from offending behaviours and lead socially responsible lives. We are passionate and committed to making a difference to the lives of these youths and their families and are looking for like-minded individuals to join our dynamic and life-changing team.

**What you will be working on**
- The jobholder supports the implementation of the policy and governance of the Integrated Service Providers (ISPs). This entails the monitoring of policy implementation and managing stakeholders, and partners’ requests to ensure the smooth operations of ISP work.
Your main responsibilities include:

- Support the planning of the strategic directions for ISPs and manage ISPs’ policies and implementations using data to inform policy planning.
- Plan and coordinate stakeholders and partners engagements on policy positions.
- Recommend appropriate partners and stakeholders’ engagement methods to meet strategic objectives of engagements.
- Manage feedback mechanisms and ensure effective communication with stakeholders.
- Manage media and parliamentary queries, and media engagement of ISPs which includes drafting and coordinating staff submissions on media and parliamentary replies.

**What we are looking for**
- At least 2 years of experience in policy function / service management and, including knowledge in funding principles.
- At least 1 year of experience in the field of offender rehabilitation or youth-related field and case management
- Have experience in stakeholders’ engagement.
- Ability to analyse critically and reconcile cross-cutting policy issues and use data to support policy positions.
- Proficient in writing and articulating policy positions and policy proposal with socio-political, data and ground considerations.
- Readiness to work with Social Service Agencies staff of all levels.
- Basic knowledge in using data analytics tool and to derive simple statistics to understand trends, profiles and interpret research/evaluation findings that are to be used to make informed policy decisions.
