**About the role**:
As a Production Supervisor, you play a critical role in the manufacturing process. You will work together with the production team and get to involved with the bulk of our revenue generation process - Machining. You will get the opportunity to lead a team of machinists and solve problems effectively and efficiently.
**In this role, you will**:
- Supervise, monitor and guide workpiece set-up
- Enforce strict safety guidelines and company standards
- Train new employees on how to safely use machinery and follow procedures
- Answer all site technical queries and support machinists/operators
- Manage production flow to ensure that optimum output is maintained
- Take contingency actions as necessary during the shift, e.g. machine/tooling breakdown
- Plan overtime if necessary to achieve job schedule
- Other duties as assigned
**Responsibilities**:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a production supervisory role within the precision engineering industry, preferably with experience in oil and gas component production.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, machining techniques, and quality control methods
- Familiarity with industry standards such as API, ASME, and ISO.
- Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a production team.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the capacity to make sound decisions under pressure.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining attention to detail and accuracy.
