Roles & Responsibilities

**About Us**

The Winstedt School (TWS) is an independent UK accredited international school for Reception, Junior, Middle and Senior level students (K-12). TWS is a place where diverse learners thrive and fulfil their learning potential in an environment that is welcoming and inclusive.

Our specialised and dedicated teachers, therapists, psychologists, and counsellors create individualised, active, and multi-sensory learning where expectations respect every child’s learning profile. Our students blossom in small classrooms of maximum of 15 students with 2 teachers (Senior Teacher and a Co-Teacher) igniting an interest to learn and a drive to succeed.

**Responsibilities**

Your key responsibilities are as follow, but not limited to:

- Develop, implement, and direct classroom programmes in line with Senior School Curriculum for **History and Geography.**
Collect learning data and assess each child’s functional and educational needs.
- Prepare and submit Progress Reports to Head of School as required.
- Join and contribute to Committees to ensure a progressive and inclusive School community.
- Contribute and provide professional feedback during meetings.
- Liaise with other health professionals, senior teachers, co-teachers, and administrative staff as required.
- Adhere to The Winstedt School policies and procedures and ensure that conduct is professional and ethical.
- All sensitive documents, personal notes, and communication related to students is kept private and confidential.
- Develop knowledge and expertise within the team and by engaging in, attending, and conducting professional development activities internally and externally.
- Work cooperatively and effectively within the team and with internal and external stakeholders of the school.
- Suggest, lead, and participate in service development and improvement activities within the team.
- Participate in proactive team efforts to achieve campus-wide, departmental and/or grade level goals.
- Other duties as assigned by the Principal and the CEO.
**Requirements**:

- Minimum 2 years of experience in teaching Senior School History curriculum in an International School setting.
- Possess at least a tertiary education degree in History, Geography, Humanities, and/or Education.
- Committed and passionate in inclusive education.
- Enjoy working in a school environment.
- General knowledge and experience in the use of Microsoft Office, Outlook, and Classroom Technologies is required.
- Exceptional knowledge in the use of technology to support instruction.
- Demonstrates exceptional skill in the roles of a teacher as well as a leader.
