We are looking for people with a passion for AR/VR (XR) with the ability to set up demos and prototype to join our team. As part of the Experience Innovation Group (EIG) in the CTO office, DXR Studios was formed to directly interface with Dell customers and stakeholders to identify use cases which lead to POC deployments. We need people to help set up demo systems, test new devices, and enable DXR to put the best technology forward to illustrate what is possible in the near future. What you’ll achieve As an Intern Undergraduate, you will Set up and operate demo systems, new devices and tools to illustrate use cases with a variety of end users, often in live demo sessions with newcomers to XR. Investigate new or unreleased technology to help form a POV about how it would be used, how effective it is and how it might be relevant to Dell’s stakeholders. Most of all: to test, to play and to communicate what you find out. You should have the bravery to challenge the status quo and think different; thrive in ambiguity; work out loud together; thrive in a culture of giving ‘tough’ love to care for each other and the ideas; be ever curious, and always connecting the dots. You will: - Be a person who thinks of new ideas and fresh ways to try things, with a sound technical grounding. - Be comfortable with stepping outside your domain area and learn other types of development, particularly around AR systems - Prototype systems that may include XR, computer vision, 3d imaging or gesture recognition Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements - Be engaged in a BS/MS in CS or other relevant educational background - Experience in AR/VR with a passion that consumes all - Demonstrate a hunger for new knowledge and the ability to quickly source, test and demo ideas - Excellent communicator and able to thrive in a fluid, flexible and at times ambiguous innovation environment Desirable Requirements - IoT, UX, Industrial Design, 3d content, or enterprise computing experience; Mad Scientists are most welcome - Familiarity with tools like CloudXR, Omniverse and the latest in AR/VR platforms - Wide ranging experience of different content types and tools.
