**Human Resource (HR) Associate role
BDA Partners has increased its headcount with ~50% since 2016 and has ambitious growth plans moving forward, including the hiring of more senior bankers across a number of our offices.
The HR Associate is a global, pivotal role, working across all nine offices of the BDA network. We have over the last few years been building out our HR capabilities, through various global initiatives. We have recently built our own HR systems including employee lifecycle management, and performance reviews, and are currently piloting a new applicant tracking system (ATS).
We have revamped the way we recruit interns and analysts and have built an annual training programme for our senior and junior bankers. We have aligned all our local office benefits, in terms of health care plans and holiday allowances. We have introduced career advancement options for our Bankers, newer ongoing assessment techniques as well as mentoring and buddy systems across the firm.
We have many more plans for improving and professionalising our HR capabilities. These include how we recruit both junior and more senior, revenue-generating bankers. We’re also looking at continually improving our year-end assessment processes and proving a better training offering, particularly for our mid to senior-level bankers.
The HR Associate should expect to work closely with the HR Director, Operations Lead, local office admins, and the wider operations team.
Experience from Financial Services or another professional services firm is key, and M&A experience is a plus. Experience in global HR, recruitment, and training processes will be beneficial.
**Responsibilities
Recruitment
- Supporting the HR Director with scheduling interviews with Hiring Managers for senior roles
- Support with the screening of resumes for junior/operations roles
- Advertising and posting open positions on various recruitment channels including the website, LinkedIn, Handshake, and University portals
- Ensuring each office is recruiting efficiently within the Internship cycles for their regions
- Keeping in touch with universities to ensure Internship posting deadlines are adhered to
- Keep up to date with market mapping for key roles within the organisation
HR systems
- Managing our online employee portal, yourBDA, ensuring it is always up to date on all relevant HR information
- Supporting the continued build-out, updating, and maintenance of the BDA HR app
- Ensuring employee data entry is accurate for employees as well as new joiners/leavers, including holiday accrual, years of experience, and training records management
- Supporting with testing the new ATS and ensuring accurate data entry within the system when live
Training & Staff Development
- Work closely with HR Director and Operations Lead on scheduling ongoing yearly training for bankers
- Monthly M&A Sellside training coordination
- Record and upload training documents on systems and update new joiner training requirements accordingly
- Support with Buddy assignments for new joiners and coordination of mentor/mentee pairings
Miscellaneous
- On/offboarding of interns and new joiners and working with local admins to ensure full compliance with the process
- Updating the BDA Handbook as requested by the HR Director
- Supporting with follow-ups on the mid-year and year-end assessment process
- Monthly admin calls/admin coordination
- Supporting other HR projects that may arise
