DESIGNATION : Manager (Partnerships), Office of Alumni Relations
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Partnership Development
- Develop a partnership and engagement strategy for Offices, Centres and Institutes as key partners in alumni engagement.
- Work with the Communities and Pathways team in OAR to further define and develop a partnership with Schools.
- Identify, develop and manage high-value partnerships with alumni, industry and corporates to advance SMU’s strategic priorities and strengthen alumni’s affinity with SMU.
- Leverage strategic partnerships to build the alumni identity and pride.
- Identify the needs of alumni and curate differentiated offerings to deliver a positive alumni experience.
- Engage alumni-owned businesses to develop strategic and sustainable partnerships.
- Develop key metrics and measurement reports to evaluate the success of partnerships and alumni engagement efforts.
- Event Management
- Curate partner initiatives and offerings that are valued by different segments of alumni.
- Provide a quality and positive engagement experience for alumni.
- Manage partner events and collaborative initiatives with SOCIs and industry partners.
- Building Institutional Knowledge of our Alumni
- Improve SMU’s knowledge of our alumni and their needs by gathering information on their participation in activities, interaction and usage trends.
- Analyse data, derive insights and propose recommendations to enhance alumni offerings and deepen alumni engagement through collaborations.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Business, Marketing or other related fields.
- Minimum 6 years of relevant work experience in business/partnership development, marketing and community engagement.
- Adept at connecting with people at all levels, establishing and maintaining a network of relationships and partnerships.
- Proven track record in identifying and developing high-value partnerships with successful measurable outcomes.
- Digitally savvy with proven experience in managing in-person, virtual and hybrid events, and engaging online communities.
- Proficient in developing partnership and marketing strategies, campaigns and initiatives, and able to use a range of digital, content management tools, social media and online community platforms.
- Experienced in conducting data analysis, with the ability to use data for predictive analysis and create reports.
- Resourceful, with the ability to think strategically, analytically and creatively.
- Proactive, a good team player with excellent interpersonal, presentation and communication (both written and verbal) skills.
- Adaptable, detail-oriented, organised, and able to work independently to meet tight deadlines.
- High energy, able to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders.
