**Position Summary**

The Deputy Director /Sr Manager Stakeholder Engagement will support participating companies in the UN Global Compact in Singapore and recruit more responsible businesses to join the initiative in Singapore.

Working closely with our global Outreach & Engagement team, the Deputy Director / Sr Manager will be responsible designing and executing strategy for recruiting companies and ensuring that each one has a clear understanding of the expertise, tools, support, training, and convening opportunities available to them as participants of the UN Global Compact.

By attracting businesses to join and efficiently access this support, the Deputy Director / Sr Manager will enable businesses to more effectively shape their business strategies and operations to help the world meet the SDGs while also delivering strong business results and build a culture of sustainability.

**Responsibilities**
- Develop and deliver Singapore growth strategy and plan. The focus will be on growing, developing relationships, and retaining members.
- Lead outreach and engagement in Singapore through presentations, public engagements, marketing partnerships, etc. to extend the awareness and reach of the UN Global Compact among relevant business audiences.
- Plan, curated, and execute the Annual General Body ( AGM) meeting and membership-engagement activities in collaboration with Capacity Building and Operations Team
- Manage business prospect pipeline from vetting to timely follow-up to prospect conversion to joining.
- Lead in the onboarding of new business participants, supporting them to be able to make the most use of their participation in the UN Global Compact.
- Build an understanding of business participant needs. Gathers feedback and provides insight back to the UNGC team to help direct strategy and plans to better meet business needs.
- Actively use and shape tools to improve Participant Engagement efficiency, and company satisfaction, including the Global Compact database, CRM software (Salesforce), and tracking and reporting systems.
- Prepare and manage project budgets and adhere to financial processes.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

- Delivers clear goals within strategies. Identifies priority activities and assignments, allocates appropriate time and resources, tracks progress and adjusts priorities as required.
- Foresees risks and allows for contingencies when planning. Monitors and adjusts plans and actions as necessary
- A minimum 7 years of relevant work experience; with at least three years in a supervisory capacity
- A good understanding of sustainability and the SDGs, with a strong interest to learn and delve deeper into specific sustainability issues
- Familiarity with Salesforce or other CRM (customer relationship management) systems is required strong strategic, conceptual, analytical and planning skills, including proven experience in analysing data to extract insight around engagement results and client satisfaction
- Possess a positive work ethic and determination in achieving targets within tight deadlines with mínimal supervision
- Prior experience working in a membership-based organisation is highly desired
- Strong communicator (written and verbal). Comfortable presenting to large audiences and engaging with a wide range of stakeholders across different sectors, regions and
