ROLE PROFILE:
A great opportunity for a Data Scientist to work within a multi-disciplinary and dynamic team in the growing field of Sustainable Finance.

ROLE SUMMARY:

- You will be operating as a Data Scientist within our Sustainable Financing and Investing (SF&I) Innovation team. The team itself is multi-disciplinary, based across London and Singapore and comprises of specialists in SF&I research, data science, software engineering and design.

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING:

- Perform scientific research into the latest methodologies and technologies within SF&I and Data Science.
- Scope and build POCs, present outputs to stakeholders, collaborate with UX designers to iterate, Engineers to support and scale, and product managers to handle expectations and timelines.
- Locate, clean, wrangle large quantities of internal and external data.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

- PhD or master’s degree in a highly quantitative field such as computer science, physics, applied mathematics, or engineering
- 3+ years working as a Data Scientist
- Ability to individually conduct scientific research
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team
- Strong programming experience in Python and its core libraries like NumPy, Pandas and Scikit-Learn and ability to write production-level code
- Hands-on experience with ML, Deep Learning, or NLP
- Experience producing and rapidly delivering minimum viable products / POCs
- Experience extracting data from APIs, relational, NoSQL, or Graph databases
- A good understanding of finance and/or financial issues linked to ESG, and sustainable investing is desirable
- Experience analysing and working with geospatial data is desirable
- Experience with an MLOps technology stack (Kubernetes, MLFlow, Amazon SageMaker, Docker etc) is desirable
