**Job Description**:
Currently we have a job opening for a:
**Crewing Officer (Singapore)**

Smit Lamnalco Crew Mgt. manages and employs around 1400 Seafarers across operations in various ports around the globe. This Position has shared responsibility for Africa operations and reports directly to the Group Crewing & HR Manager.

**Responsibilities**:
The role predominately supports in the recruitment and mobilisation / demobilsation of crew within the assigned region. Other duties include but not limited to:

- Verify documents, medical fitness and check references of new recruits to ensure compliance with STCW & SLIMS standards.
- Ensure the timely and complete provision of employment documents and information to crew.
- Arrange appointments for Crew inductions, simulator assessments and Marlin tests.
- Arrange and manage crew travel (mob
- and demob) and all necessary administration and documents for on and off signing crew.
- Ensure that all stake holders (crew, agencies, Contract Managers) are informed accurately and timely regarding mob and demob of Crew.
- Provide, manage and interact with Contract Managers on up-dated Crew schedules.
- Maintain accurate records and data of crewing details and information in the SL Database (Shipmate).
- Ensure correct filing of all relevant flag state documents in Shipmate.
- Ensure the training and development of all crew is planned according to schedule.
- Monitor and follow up with the Contract Managers on outstanding appraisal forms.

**Qualifications**:
To be successful in the role:

- You must already be working and living in Singapore.
- Experience with crewing.
