**Your day to day**
voco Orchard Singapore is seeking a purchasing officer to join its team. As Purchasing Officer you’ll coordinate or assist in the purchasing, receiving, storage, and/or dispensing of food and/or non-food items to meet the needs of the various departments and functions.
- Assist Purchasing Manager with the purchasing of all goods and equipment required by the hotel
- Obtain competitive quotations for hotel requirements and ensure that the best product is sourced and purchased, using group nominated suppliers where applicable
- Ensure the purchase of correct goods and materials at a competitive price and proper quantities/ volumes
- Ensure locally nominated supplier information is kept current
- Monitor all areas of purchasing including contracts, leases and nominations
- Ensure a comprehensive system for allocating and reconciling purchase orders
- Other ad-hoc duties - unexpected moments when we have to pull together to get a task done
- Prepare the month end accounts reports in an accurate and timely manner
- Maintain a record of commitments for all budgets and ensure that the relevant senior managers are constantly informed of updates
- Maintain Purchase Plus database in an organized manner
- Maintain supplier product data including catalogue content, product specifications, photographs, descriptions and pricing and keep them confidential
**What we need from you**
- At least diploma or equivalent in related discipline
- Two years hotel procurement with knowledge of purchasing and supply chain management of food, beverage, operating supplies, FF&E and contracted services or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must be proficient in MS Office.
- Proficiency in procurement software such as MarketBoomer/Purchase Plus is an advantage
- Must speak fluent English
