The right person for the role will enjoy dealing with that puzzle, seeking creative solutions and moving quickly, often in the face of ambiguity. **What you'll do** In your role as the APAC Financial Crimes & Supportability Advisor, reporting to the APAC Head of Financial Crimes and Supportability, you will: - Collaborate with the Risk Assessment team to conduct ongoing and in-depth financial crimes risk analysis specifically tailored to Greater China user segments - Design and establish financial crimes and supportability policies and frameworks that are tailored to the specific risks and regulatory landscape of the Great China business - Synthesise global compliance requirements applicable to Greater China population into a cohesive and streamlined overview, facilitating clarity and ease of implementation across diverse regional markets - Act as the Subject Matter Expert for Financial Crimes & Supportability advisory matters for Stripe's Greater China business, providing expert guidance to cross-functional stakeholders - Present program updates and emerging risk trends to the leadership group - Provide strategic advice to the business teams regarding risk management and compliance with existing and upcoming regulatory requirements, addressing change management and potential product implications - Facilitate collaboration across Financial Crimes and Supportability teams to provide guidance that informs Greater China user exception decisions, with a thorough examination of associated financial crimes risks - Collaborate with the business teams to enhance user engagement by delivering education on compliance requirements, ensuring clarity and accessibility of information for stakeholders - Conduct internal and external training sessions to elevate awareness of financial crimes regulations and risks specific to Greater China segments - Support the operations team in developing and implementing onboarding/review workflows that comply with established policy requirements, enhancing operational effectiveness - Stay updated on regulatory and industry trends through continuous engagement and research, with a keen focus on the dynamics affecting Greater China. **Who you are** We're looking for someone who meets the minimum requirements to be considered for the role. The preferred qualifications are a bonus, not a requirement. **Minimum requirements** - Minimum 5+ years combined relevant financial crimes experience in payments, banking, financial regulators, law firms and/or audit firms, preferably in a policy advisor role. - Strong familiarity with relevant laws, regulations and industry trends for the Greater China region - Strong communication (both verbal and written) and stakeholder management skills; and experience executing on complex initiatives cross functionally - Competent in interpreting legal guidance (with the support of the Legal team) into actionable guidance, and operational policies and systems-based solutions - Ability to navigate ambiguous situations and provide high quality advice - Ability to work efficiently and independently in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. - An effective and relatable "culture of compliance" mentality - Ability to speak, read and write in Mandarin **Preferred qualifications** - Payments or Fintech experience - Familiarity with card network rules - Familiarity with MacOS and Google products - CAMS or CFE certification (or equivalent) - Experience working at companies in Greater China or overseas branches of Greater China companies Job ID 6629650
