**About the Role**

SACA offers the Case Management programme to selected inmate clients that Prisons has identified to serve a part of their sentence in the community. The intention of community-based sentencing options is to better prepare the inmate client for their eventual release thereby increasing their chances of not reoffending.

The Asst. Senior Social Worker/ Case Manager (I) is responsible to assist the Senior Social Worker in overseeing the team and some aspects of general programme management, finance management, case management and people development.

**Technical Competencies**:
Ability to motivate clients to work towards their return and reintegration into society
Some knowledge or experience in forensic work will be an advantage
Must have previous supervisory experience (at least 2 years)
Must have Degree in Social Work, Counselling, or Psychology

**Core Competencies**:
Ability to engage and motivate people
Strong belief in 2nd Chances and in the ability of people to change
Mature and independent individual

**Preferred achievements / characteristics**:
Must possess good knowledge of local culture and customs
Ability to converse fluently in a 2nd language (Malay, Tamil or Mandarin) will be significant due to the nature of the client group
At least 6 years relevant work experience
