This position will be supporting logistic manager for coordinating logistics activities across different value chains in the SEA region, focusing initially on ocean going vessels. In this position, coordination with the commercial team help to maximum the value of the trading books.
- Work closely with commercial team, destination office, global Logistics/origin/shippers and freight to coordinate on the placement of vessels based on the shipment period and cargo readiness
- Contribute to cost optimization from port to port
- Provide views and guidance on development of logistics flows
- Create and updating all the shipments planning/changes
- Monitor on shipments to ensure smooth execution and resolve any potential issues
- Coordinate with freight operation, destinations office and broker on logistics matters
- Liaise with port agent and freight on the vessel specifications are in conformance with load and discharge terminals and berths.
- Making decision on costs related to logistics for shipments
- Assisting commercial team on alignment on freight bookings and freight cost accrual
- Coordinate closely with execution teams and destination office on the shipment execution and any issue related to laytime with laytime desk.
- Work closely with freight operation on shipment matters such as pre-stowage plan, changes in execution plan or arrival dates requirement
- Coordinate with commercial and country logistics team on planning of inventory and shipments
- Work closely with stakeholders on month end closing activities
- Ad hoc projects and reports in improvising or standardisation the efficiency of the logistics flows/execution

Requirement:

- 3 to 5 years’ experience in logistics management in the commodity industry
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Management or related quantitative field.
- Strong interpersonal skills, fast learning, detail oriented and hard working.
- Strong in stakeholder management and communication skill
- Comfortable working in a multi-cultural environment and across multiple geographies
- Excellent problem solving and technical skills
- Team player
- Able to work within an unstructured and ambiguous environment
