We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Vice President, Wealth and Private Banking Operations.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

The purpose of this role is:

- To assist the country Head of Wealth & Private Banking Operations to deliver an agreed set of business objectives
- To be part of the Wealth & Private Banking Operations team

The aim is to deliver efficiencies via automation, simplification, re-engineering, digitalization & standardizations and right-shoring where it makes sense in achieving the desired saves. To stay focused on Bank, Regional & Global Operations strategy, imbibing a global mind-set, aligning to global business demand, implement globally consistent models, leveraging global scale and adopting standard global tools to provide a compliant and efficient processing. Management of offshore teams where processes are off-shored. The following are the core job responsibilities managed by the incumbent.

Principal accountability:

- Ensure Financials and objectives are within the FRP set including overall operational efficiency within set targets
- maximization of process efficiency and effectiveness in the team via simplification of processes
- Initiate continuous improvements across all key areas of operations management, people, processes and systems
- Build, maintain then enhance the operations culture/operational excellence of the dept.
- Service level agreements are consistently met and customer service delivery is of high standard continuously
- To deliver high standard of customer service delivery and ensure that feedbacks, complaints and enquiries from internal customers are promptly handled
- To improve our processes based on customer’s feedback
- Participate in projects related to processes that are required by global, regional and business partners
- Robust Controls and compliances are in place
- Accuracy in management reporting
- Good team collaborations and engagement
- Ensure compliance with regulations, policies, guidelines, audit recommendations and procedures/procedural guidelines are adhered to
- To implement the Group Compliance policy locally by managing compliance risk in liaison with the Area Compliance Officer or Local Compliance Officer, ensuring adequate compliance resources are in place and training is provided, fostering a compliance culture.
- Manage operational risk associated with the role and take action to minimize the likelihood of operational risk occurring, including risk identification, assessment, mitigation and control, loss identification and reporting
- Maintains HSBC internal control standards, including the timely implementation of internal and external audit points together with any issues raised by external regulators
- Satisfactory audits, losses and complaints contained
- Ensure DIMs are promptly updated
