DESIGNATION : Senior Manager/Assistant Director, Finance Business Partnership, OFIN
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for Office of Finance (OFIN).
- Financial Reporting - Improve the governance and reporting of financials for compliance
- Review the financials of the SOCIs monthly to ensure accuracy, completeness, and appropriate presentation.
- Prepare standardised regular financial performance reports in compliance with standards and regulations.
- Evaluate the financial performance with relevant stakeholders to determine any actions to be taken.
- Design effective operational and strategic reports that can be adopted and managed by the SOCIs.
- Provide training to the SOCI’s management team (e.g. HODs, Assistant Deans, Budget co-ordinators).
- Planning & Analysis - Act as a business advisor to the Provost, Deans and HODs on financial control of the SOCI by generating financial analysis, insight and recommendations for future planning and alignment to LTFM
- Critically assess and facilitate overall SOCI budget & forecast submissions.
- Identify and provide guidance on financial opportunities and risks to the contribution margin.
- Contribute to building business cases for new strategic initiatives and assessing post-implementation results, working with the Offices of Finance, Procurement and Programme Management.
- Communication - Be the first point of contact for the SOCI on all financial matters; and for OFIN on all SOCI’s matters
- Enhance awareness and adherence to financial policies.
- Build strong, effective relationships across SOCIs to ensure their needs are addressed.
- Process Improvement - Continuously evaluate policies and procedures to ensure optimisation
- Align and streamline processes within and across SOCIs to achieve consistency and efficiency.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree in Accountancy, preferably with CA qualifications.
- At least 10 years of relevant experience.
- Successful track record in Business partnering and Financial planning & analysis (FP&A).
- Experienced in driving process improvements and change management.
- Familiar with SAP usage and data extraction.
- Familiar with BI tools (eg. Qliksense, Power BI, Tableau).
- Strong inter-personal and communication skills.
- Confidence around senior management.
- Comfortable in a matrix reporting environment.
- Able to work independently and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Fluent in both written & spoken English.
