**Research Fellow (Bioinformatics) **in the Laboratory of **Professor John Chambers**
Professor Chambers has established and led large-scale prospective population studies in Europe, South Asia and Singapore, with these unique population cohorts leading to the discovery of novel genetic and epigenetic pathways associated with coronary heart disease, type-2 diabetes, obesity, and related metabolic disturbances, implicating new molecular pathways underlying these diseases. The group is currently focused on identification of mechanisms that underlie the high rate of cardiovascular disease and diabetes in Asian populations, as well as translational research to improve prevention and control of these major diseases.
Experience with working on big genomic datasets, a good understanding of genomic approaches including genetic association, metabolomic and transcriptomic profiling is essential.
This opening will be based at LKCMedicine Novena Campus, Singapore. Salary will commensurate with experience and qualifications.
