Hummingbird Bioscience is a data-driven precision biotherapeutics team discovering and developing transformative biologic medicines for hard-to-treat diseases. **ABOUT THE ROLE**
Hummingbird Bioscience is seeking an Intern to support the downstream process development of biotherapeutics. The intern will have an opportunity to learn skills associated with the purification of antibody drugs and understand the workflows associated with drug purification development.
**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Prepare buffers for various process development steps
- Perform chromatography purification using AKTA systems
- Support bioconjugation reactions
- Support filtration activities where necessary
- Record data accurately and legibly
- On-the-job training will be provided as necessary
**REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS**
- Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s Program in Biology or related fields
- A good understanding of protein chemistry and process development
- Prior lab experience in protein purification preferred
