Quality Engineer

**OVERALL, JOB PURPOSE**:
**Class Compliance**:

- To ensure classification society is coordinated for all applicable Class and Regulatory Requirements and certificates are obtained in time for the project.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- To ensure overall regulatory compliance as applicable for the project

**Vendor Coordinator**
- To ensure quality of procured equipment and materials as per PO requirements by coordinating and assuring that inspection and testing of the goods at Supplier premises are done in accordance with applicable specifications, standards, codes and regulations.

**Responsibilities**:
**Class Compliance**:

- Preparation of Class / Compliance related documents with the guidance of Quality manager.
- Coordinates with various departments on Classification & statutory / regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates with Classification society on statutory and class compliance
- Attends regular meetings with Class to review class certification status of the whole project including vendor equipment / subcontractor scopes
- Coordinates with Engineering & Procurement dept and site coordinators on class certification matters
- Liaises with client where required to update on the class certification
- Preparation of weekly/ monthly progress reports as applicable
- Preparation or updating applicable Quality Assurance Procedures as required
- Conducting/ Participating in ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO /TS 29001 internal and external audits when required
- Analyze and interpret data with assistance of supervisor (Project Quality Manger). Anticipate potential problems and takes preventative action. Participates in the project quality planning
- Regularly reviews the work of others and lesson learnt from past projects for accuracy and soundness of judgment.
- Other quality related work as assigned by PQM or DM
- Assist in vendor inspection coordination when required
- Liaise with appointed Class on statutory compliance requirements for the whole project under the supervision of Project Quality Manager
- Coordinates with IVB for compliance requirements. Preparation or updating applicable Quality Assurance Procedures as required
- Coordinates with Class on supplier equipment certification
- Oversees on class scope when class is appointed directly by subcontractors.
- Reports on class certification status to PQM
- Identifies and monitors issue of class and statutory certificates including those within subcontractors and vendors scope.
- Assist in vendor coordination when required.

**Regulatory Compliance**:

- Preparation of Regulatory Compliance related procedures with the guidance of Quality Manager
- Coordinates with various departments on statutory / regulatory compliance.
- Coordinates with pre-ops or consultant, as applicable for regulatory compliance.
- Prepares regulatory matrix, identify applicable task, assign task responsibility to the individuals, monitor compliance periodically and report close out.
- Preparation of weekly/ monthly progress reports as applicable
- Preparation or updating applicable Quality Assurance Procedures as required
- Conducting/ Participating in ISO 9001: 2015 and ISO /TS 29001 internal and external audits

- Reviews client and contract documents to understand the regulatory compliance requirements of the project and vendor / subcontractor documents related to regulatory compliance management with the guidance of Project Quality Manager
- Prepare regulatory compliance matrix with assistance of Project Quality Manager
- Identifies the compliance requirements (task) with assistance of pre-ops or consultant as applicable
- Assign task to the responsible person.
- Monitor implementation of compliance requirements.
- Reviews vendor / subcontractor documents related to regulatory compliance management.
- Liaise with project, engineering, procurement, construction and operation teams regarding regulatory compliance
- Ensure close out of task with pre-ops or consultant as applicable
- Report the status to Project Quality Manager
- Participate in regulatory compliance related meetings
- Carry out /participate in inspections and audits (with IVB or pre-ops where required) for compliance requirements. Monitor implementation of compliance requirements.

**Vendor Coordinator**:

- Report to Project Quality Manager for matters relating to the organization of inspection activities, technical matters and allocation of resources for the source inspection
- Coordinate with Engineering (Package Manager), Procurement (Buyers), third party agencies and Construction Quality team, Class (where ap
