Consultant - Professional Services

**About Smart Communications**:
**Who are you?**

The Professional Services team focuses on our customers and is responsible for all elements of successfully implementing SmartIQ solutions. The Consultant has a strong understanding of our product and can guide the customer through all phases of a professional services project from gathering business requirements, designing and developing, testing and acceptance, and deploying into the customer’s environment. This role guides and supports customers and implementation partners on best practices and more complex project designs. The Consultant is a critical role on the Professional Services team and is instrumental in the overall success of our customers.

**The responsibilities of the role include**:

- Implementing Smart Communications SmartIQ solutions remotely with occasional visits to customer sites
- Gather and understand customer business requirements and map to Smart Communications SmartIQ solutions.
- Design SmartIQ solutions including integration with customer’s APIs through REST and/or SOAP Web Services
- Provide support for architecture and security questions for SmartIQ solutions
- Develop custom identity extensions for authentication services
- Provide mentoring and guidance to our Partner’s implementing SmartIQ solutions.
- Perform health checks on customer projects to help identify and resolve issues and performance bottlenecks
- Perform a product knowledge transfer to customer at conclusion either on site or remotely
- Work with appropriate team members to achieve successful project completion.
- Support and maintain project plans provided by the Project Manager or Principal Consultant.
- Report regularly, identifying and diagnosing issues and needs, escalating potential risks as far as necessary to resolve for both Smart Communications and customer
- Meet delivery schedules and budgets.
- Support project change controls, ensuring Smart Communications’ contractual position.
- Support post-project reviews.
- Support customer implementation document and provide quality implementation documentation on time
- Interface with client in a professional manner

**What we’re looking for**:
**Must have skills/experience**:

- Ability to obtain a security clearance if required
- Proven technical experience implementing successful projects on client sites and working with on-premise and SaaS platforms
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Logical and analytical problem solving skills.
- Good commercial decision making skills.
- Positive client service approach with a ‘Can do-will do’ attitude.
- Proven technical skills in:

- HTML
- Web Services (REST and SOAP)
- JSON
- XSD, XML, XSL
- C#
- Visual Studio
- Understanding of Microsoft.NET Framework and system architecture
- Understanding of authentication modes and Identity Providers including Active Directory, ADFS, OKTA, SAML and OpenID
- Java, JavaScript
- Databases: SQL Server, DB2, Oracle.

**Advantageous skills/experience**:

- Appreciation of WCM, CRM and ECM technologies
