Job summary The AWS Asia Pacific and Japan Commercial Sales organization is looking for an innovative, results-oriented Senior Program Manager to drive the strategy and long-term priorities that enable our leaders and teams to steward a Day 1 mindset in the face of continued growth and global expansion. As shared in Amazon's 2016 Shareholder letter, our Day 1 mentality is a culture and an operating model that puts customers at the center of everything Amazon does. Putting Day 1 into practice relies on maintaining long term focus, obsessing over customers and bold innovation. Our peculiar Day 1 culture and our leaders’ ability to make high-velocity, high-judgment decisions in tight alignment with our Leadership Principles has been critical input to our culture. Continued expansion and the influx of new leaders has the potential to create distance from our customers, dilute our culture, and slow decision making. As Program Manager, you will bring communications, leadership and sales business knowledge with end-to-end accountability. This Program manager will work closely with APJ Commercial Sales LT and HR to identify, analyze, and develop strategies to evolve our culture and develop Day 1 mindset across different levels of the org. Key job responsibilities 1. As a steward of culture responsible for building mechanisms to constantly review organization health from lens of Day 1 mentality. Leverage data from employee surveys and focus group discussions to identify organizational dysfunctions that impact decision velocity and create fragmentation of customer experience. 2. Demonstrate end to end accountability in designing solutions and mechanisms that foster innovation, customer intimacy and speed. 3. Identify workforce hot spots with risks of culture dilution and work with teams (onboarding, learning development and HR) to focus on culture assimilation of such teams and leaders. 4. Build pool of Day 1 culture ambassadors. Work with Leadership development team to build programs which optimize multiple adult learning methodologies including peer to peer, experiential learning, and traditional leadership development and coaching strategies and will drive Amazon's culture across the organization. Success will be measured by the adoption and leadership acceleration through metrics and KPIs. 5. You will drive reporting on Day 1 culture. You will ensure that mechanisms for capturing post-launch learnings are in place and incorporated into future program launches while formalizing best practices into frameworks to be evangelized with other Amazon teams. 6. In this role, you will: a. Align and influence executive stakeholders inclusive of sales teams, geo teams, and business leaders. Identify and manage GTM plan stakeholders. Work closely with stakeholders across multiple AWS teams to define, build, drive and measure mechanisms to effectively land programs and initiatives. b. Build communications, branding c. Establish processes to meet the customer needs, create audit mechanisms, drive issue resolutions and build performance Metrics and KPIs. d. Leverage strong communication skills (verbal and written English) and a passion for using data to drive business and leadership decisions at scale.
- Currently or previously held a similar People & Culture leadership role across a large and highly matrixed environment in a B2B technology business
- Experience in the learning and development field relating to the holistic journey of employee growth and wellbeing
- Data science experience with ability to analyze inputs from a breadth of complex data sources
