Our client is a leading financial institution with worldwide presence. An opportunity has arisen for an energetic and resourceful Market Risk Specialist to join their office in Singapore.

Working as a team, you will be instrumental in the following tasks:

- Analysing risk on the desks and putting it into the market context, reporting the findings to senior management
- Being responsible for monitoring the market activities and providing review and analysis with respect to market movements and risk exposures
- Ensuring exposures are within limits, by maintaining and executing risk controls
- Product control responsibilities, including generating the daily P&L
- Producing regular reporting, liaising with FO teams providing trade approvals, limit queries and analysis
- Understanding Value at Risk (VaR), stress testing, and Risks Not in VaR (RNiVs) to assure it’s accurate, timely reported, and developed in line with regulations and guidelines
- Providing reporting on volume structure limit report, covering local trading departments as well as the market risk head office

You should have at least 2-5 years of experience in Market Risk or related field from a reputable financial institution. IT proficiency with Excel VBA, exposure to front-office trading systems and risk management system would be preferred. Knowledge and understand of banking instruments are welcomed too.
