**Job Title**:Research Assistant/Associate (Community Capacity-Building for Health)

**Posting Start Date**:20/03/2025

This project investigates how local communities can mobilise resources, networks, and local leaders to co-create communities of care, particularly among ageing populations. Using a mixed-methods and participatory approaches, the research aims to identify key enablers and barriers of community-capacity building for health, develop assessment frameworks, and generate policy recommendations to enhance health and social care integration and grow place-based models of care.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis
- Conduct literature reviews, case studies, and qualitative interviews
- Collect and analyse quantitative and qualitative data to assess good practices and strategies for community capacity-building.
- Develop and validate assessment tools and frameworks for measuring community capacity-building efforts.
- Work closely with the Principal Investigator (PI) to design research proposal, ethics approval, develop project plans, and track deliverables.

Project Management & Stakeholder Engagement
- Engage with funders, donors, policymakers, and community organisations to ensure research relevance and impact.
- Facilitate workshops, focus groups, and participatory research sessions to co-develop solutions with communities.
- Translate research findings into practical insights and policy recommendations for community-based health interventions.

Knowledge Management & Dissemination
- Synthesise findings into reports, policy briefs, and academic publications.
- Contribute to knowledge-sharing activities, including conference presentations and community engagement forums.
- Develop capacity-building frameworks, toolkits, and checklists to scale successful community health initiatives.

**Qualifications**
- Degree in Public Health, Health Promotion, Social Sciences, Social Work, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- At least 1 year of research experience, preferably in community development, public health, social policy, nonprofit management, or applied social research.
- Expertise in qualitative research, with hands-on experience in conducting interviews, focus groups, participatory research.
- Basic proficiency in quantitative research methods is preferred, particularly in survey design, descriptive statistical analysis, program evaluation, and instrument development.
- Ability to collaborate effectively within an interdisciplinary team and engage with community stakeholders, funders, and policymakers.
- Experience in community-driven health initiatives in eldercare settings is an advantage.
