Chugai Pharmabody Research Pte. Ltd. (“CPR”) was established in Singapore as a wholly-owned subsidiary of Chugai Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd (Chugai), a member of Roche group, in January 2012 and started operations on July 2, 2012. Located at Biopolis in Singapore, it aims to generate new antibody drugs based on Chugai’s proprietary antibody engineering technologies, such as recycling antibody®, sweeping antibody®, bispecific antibody, various Fc engineered antibodies, and other new antibody engineering technologies that are under development.

**Research Assistant - Lead Optimization unit**

**Job Scope**:

- **Protein Engineering**: Design and construction of expression vectors
- **Protein Analysis**: Column chromatography (ion exchange, size exclusion, reverse phase, etc.), SDS-PAGE, and other physicochemical analyses
- **Protein Expression**: Antibody production using mammalian cell culture systems
- **Protein Purification**: Operation of purification equipment, SDS-PAGE, Western Blotting
- **Antibody Generation**: B cell cloning and antibody library development

**Requirements**:

- Bachelor's degree in Biological Sciences, Biomedical Science, Biotechnology, Molecular Biotechnology, or a related field
- Fresh graduates or 1-2 years of relevant work experience.
- Proficiency in basic laboratory procedures
- Experience in the following areas is advantageous:

- Molecular biology techniques
- Protein chemistry and purification
- Cell culture
- Automated liquid handling systems
- Structural analysis

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Fresh graduate

Pay: $3,500.00 - $4,000.00 per month
