Head Chef

Overseeing the operation of the café kitchen, managing a team of food preparation members. Plan, budget and create unique dishes that inspire guests to come back again and again to dine with us.

Key Responsibilities
- Prepare guests' orders according to their preferences
- Employs food safety best practices and makes sure that all kitchen staff members do the same
- Plan menus set culinary directions in collaboration with management.
- Give training to new chef and other members of the kitchen staff, so they perform at their best
- Determines how much food to order and maintains an appropriate supply at the restaurant
- Keeps up with trends in cooking and the restaurant business to ensure that guests have a positive experience
- Enforce and review standard operating procedures
- Occasionally takes on extra duties when the kitchen is short-staffed or the restaurant is particularly busy
- Works closely with Café Manager on customers feedback
- Works closely with butchers for menu planning
- Rostering of kitchen team
- Budgeting and food cost and wastage management skill
- Participate in company food and product development
- Willing to travel, assist or be assigned to other outlets as needed
- Perform any other ah-hoc duties as required by the Management from time to time

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in managing kitchens of restaurants or hotels
- Excellent knowledge of BOH systems, ordering, and inventory
- Strong leadership skills and a team player with good interpersonal skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Can comfortably work long hours on your feet
- Can work weekends and public holidays.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: $4,600.00 - $5,500.00 per month
