It was the largest insurance deal in Singapore at the time. Singlife was subsequently acquired by Sumitomo Life in March 2024, one of Japan’s leading life insurers, which valued Singlife at S$4.6 billion, making the transaction one of the largest insurance deals in Southeast Asia.

**Responsibilities**:

- Lead data science projects to build, deploy and monitor AI/ML models to generate values for the business.
- Manage key stakeholders’ expectations, set project directions, timeline, and deliverables.
- Ideate and design solutions for process re-engineering to embed the AI/ML model into business processes.
- Experimental design to attribute value contribution of data science models.
- Research and development on new tools and evaluate bringing it into Singlife’s tech stack.
- Contribute to a high-performing team culture by upskilling others and keep up to date with latest developments in data science.
- Build and deploy GenAI from POCs into production
- Implement Data and AI governance to ensure data science models produce quality results that is compliant with regulations
- Collaborate with technology, risk, compliance teams to ensure data architecture is fit for purpose and delivers production-worthy data pipelines that conform to IT Security and Data Management policies.
- Build data models and data marts to create quality datasets in which to build data science models on top of.

**Experience**
- Individual should have experience in dealing with large customers’ data set, able to generate insights from complex analysis and models and communicate effectively to stakeholders.
- Individual should have a track record of building and deploying data science models that have a measured value contribution to the business.
- Insurance domain knowledge preferred
- Individual should have experience in leading projects end to end
- GenAI experience preferred

**Education**
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Business Analytics, Economics, or Similar
- Masters in Statistics or any quantitative analytics or equivalent professional qualification
