Our client, is a Europe Headquartered global company and a major supplier to the auto-ID and tag & label industries worldwide. Our client is looking to hire a Sales Director - APAC to be based in Singapore.
**Overall Job Scope**
The Sales Director will be responsible for leading and managing all sales activities within the South East Asia / Pacific region.
**Responsibilities**:
- Develops and implements strategic sales plans to achieve company sales targets in the Southeast Asia / Pacific region.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with key clients, distributors, and partners.
- Identifies new business opportunities and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
- Drafts and proposes a business plan plan for development areas, from opportunity identification to priority setting.
- Initiates, leads and coordinates footprint expansion projects with head of Asia guidance.
- Provides leadership, direction, and guidance to the sales team to ensure they meet their targets and objectives.
- Monitors market trends and competitor activities to identify potential threats and opportunities.
- Collaborates with other departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with overall business objectives.
- Prepares and presents regular sales reports and forecasts to senior management.
- Leads transversal projects across ASPAC.
- Has a strategic vision on company procedures and processes accross departments.
- Interact with Management to continuously improve processes in balance with the risks and cost /benefit ratios.
- Lead quality change processes in the organization with external and internal customer satisfaction in mind.
- Contacts are frequent with individuals representing outside organizations, and/or individuals of significant importance within the company. Contacts involve planning and preparation of the communications, require skill, tact, persuasion and/or negotiation to accomplish the objectives of the communications.
- Convince external parties who are skeptical or unwilling to accept new concepts, practices, and approaches
**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Bachelor’s degree or master’s degree in a relevant discipline or MBA
- Proven track record as a sales manager of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in the B2B sector of consumables.
- Knowledge of labelling/printing industry (preferred)
- Strong business development skills
- Strong ability in using ERP and CRM
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
- Experience in M&A (from target identification to integration)
- Proven sales team management skills
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to manage from a distance
- Willingness to travel within the region and to headquarters as required.
