**AgriG8 is on a mission to ensure that any farmer that practices climate resilient farming can be financed.
AgriG8 is a Agri-FinTech platform, making it attractive for lenders to invest in climate-resilient farming.

We do this through:

- A farmer engagement app that makes it easy for farmers to farm sustainably and log their actions.
- A lender platform that gives predictive forecasts for loan origination and credit assurance, built off aggregated data from the app and satellite data.
- Using our founder’s 14 years of experience in the rice fields of Southeast Asia, along with the knowledge of some of the best climate and agriculture scientists worldwide, to continuously refine and strengthen our predictive crop and credit scoring systems
- Established mid 2021 with our headquarters in Singapore, AgriG8 is the brainchild of a collaboration between Golden Sunland Singapore and Trendlines Agrifood Fund.**What's the opportunity?**

We're looking for a passionate and creative Founding Senior Full-Stack Engineer to join our team as an early member

You will work closely with the Product Lead, help make technical decisions while providing input to the product roadmap, and have a lot of room for flexibility in execution.

You should be comfortable making decisions and guiding junior engineers to improve the system at both the design and implementation levels. As AgriG8 grows, you may also help with recruiting and managing our engineering team.

**What will I be doing?**

Own end-to-end architecture, design and implementation of projects including working closely with the Product Lead in:

- initial scoping of features
- design of product
- architecture of the database, and
- development of the final deliverable

Learn new skills and technologies (as required) to solve different engineering challenges while maintaining flexibility

Occasionally interacting directly with customers (together with the Product Lead) to understand their needs and to inform product design decisions

**What skills do I need?**

“Full-stack capable” engineer with 2+ years of full-time experience as part of a development team. This should include being comfortable in working with 2 of the following areas (and a willingness to engage in the others as the first Senior Full-stack in AgriG8):

- Front End Development (React, Next.js, HTML/CSS, UI/UX Design)
- Back End Development (Node.js, Rails, PostgreSQL)
- Multi-Platform App Development (e.g. Flutter, React Native, Ionic)
- Deployment & Ops (CI/CD, Docker, Automation, various databases)

Enjoys innovating in a highly collaborative environment and having the autonomy to learn and experiment

Capable of weighing tradeoffs between robustness and speed

Interest in sustainable agriculture/finance and farmer behaviour

Nice to haves:

- Exposure in Fintech companies/startups, and knowledge on data security compliance measures
- Experience with publishing apps to App Store, Play Store, or other app marketplaces
- Experience in managing other developers
