Cloud Platform Engineer is responsible for cloud service design, cloud service automation and deployment of codified templates that can be used for provisioning, configuration, and orchestration within the AWS Cloud infrastructure. He/She manages transformational journeys towards the use of cloud based technology and liaises with the customers throughout the request-delivery-support life-cycle acting as the technical interface and solution delivery owner.**Responsibilities**:
**Cloud Service Design**:

- Responsible for management, maintenance and architecture of AWS platform and environment
- Translate service requirements into service models (templates) and/or workflows for automatic provisioning. Accountable for the cloud service offering model design documentation.
- Ensures that the automation technical environment is properly maintained and correctly designed. Implement systems that are highly available, scalable, and self-healing
- Act as an evangelist for adoption of cloud-based services across the organization

**Cloud Service Deployment**:

- Understand, implement, and automate security controls, governance processes, and compliance validation
- Design, develop, manage, and maintain tools to automate operational processes. Ensure that all that can be automated is automated.
- Practice DevSecOps and develop CI/CD pipelines and/or platform services to support platform automations and compliance/governance automation

**Cloud Service Automation**:

- Monitor platform and identify performance issues and/or non-compliant configurations proactively
- Develops automated configuration and compliance controls and related remediation tasks
- Designs and develops custom templates, reports, and compliance remediation workflows and actions. Accountable for verifying that cloud service model meet appropriate compliance/governance requirements.
- Ensure the Cloud Platform and services are operational ready and in healthy state with continuously patching and upgrading.

**Requirements**:

- 2-4+ years experience designing, provisioning solutions within AWS and experience with architecting AWS production workloads.
- 2-4+ years experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery with tools such as Jenkins, Gitlab and etc.
- 2-4+ year experience with Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) libraries such as Cloudformation, Terraform and, CDK
- 2-4+ year experience with DevOps tooling such as Ansible, shell scripting. Knowledge of programming language such as Python, Javascript and etc is a plus.
- Exposure to web technology and fundamentals such as HTTP, REST, JSON, YAML, microservice architecture.
- Experience with both Linux and Windows operating system and efficiency with using system tools for debugging and troubleshooting.
- Good knowledge on OSI model and networking, e.g. TCP/IP, DNS, ICMP, PKI, TLS/SSL and etc. Knowledge and experience with Containers and Serverless Architecture
- Experience working under Agile methodology and tools such as Jira, confluence and etc.
