Department Information

The Piping discipline is responsible for the layout, design, stress, supports, material engineering, and (bulk) material control among others, on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) Units, and liaises with all other engineering disciplines, Supply Chain, Construction/Commissioning and Operations, as well as the relevant authorities and third parties when required.

**Job Description**:

- Responsible for overall management and control of piping engineering activities at site/Yard.
- Manage Piping Engineering deliverables for ONE GUYANA FPSO
- Liaise & co-ordinate with Yard Engineering, Site Construction Team, and Engineering Home Office
- Participate in Weekly meeting between yard, engineering, and construction
- Interface with Engineering Teams - SBM BLR, SBM SCH and McDermott and participate in weekly meetings
- Spot Check Construction Engineering deliverables as per quality requirements and schedule
- Resolve technical piping related clashes, interdisciplinary items, and other issues on site together with site team and yard
- Represent Piping from Engineering in Singapore during the Construction phase
- Design verification on site and make sure the actual fabrication is performed in line with the design
- Prepare and follow piping related changes and ensure proper implementation on site
- Review technical piping deliverables from yard (isometrics, layouts, routings, stress analysis)
- Review technical piping related information shown in other yard deliverables (like P&ID, drawings etc.)
- Responsible for technical interface between different engineering groups.
- Coordinate with Project Controls to review progress, delays, and mitigation plans
- Report Progress, Forecast, Area of Concern, and mitigation as project requirements.
- Manage the technical queries/Deviations initiated by Client and Yard contractor.
- Managing the Technical clarifications initiated by Vendors during Pre-Bid and Post Order
- Review & Approval of Sub-Contractor Documents Such as METHOD Statements (MS) for Tie-Ins, Test packages etc.
