**Delivery Manager
The Technology Delivery Manager will work with the General Insurance work stream within the technology value stream and is accountable for the delivering technology plan for the work stream. The Technology Delivery Manager is accountable for producing and managing the sprint plan, progress tracking and reporting, budget tracking and reporting

Principal responsibilities
- Defining the project Sprint Plan
- Ensure any interdependencies with HSBC technology teams are understood and recorded in the plan, including any development work required by AXA; either AXA GO or the transferred AXA SG
- Managing the project approach, building stakeholder buy-in around the project plan, commitments and changes
- Supporting Technology teams to manage delivery proactively, balancing scope, schedule, resourcing, dependencies, communications, budget
- Working with the Technology team and Product Owner to drive improvements in productivity through backlog management, maturity in the use of Agile methodologies (e.g. Scrum, Kanban, Lean), and corresponding management of dependencies
- Providing management to maintain a focus on how the project aligns to wider programme objectives, where appropriate, and to the change portfolio across HSBC
- Managing, monitoring and reporting progress, issues, dependencies and risks to the programme management, internal stakeholders and/or steering committees. Also, making recommendations to influence decision-making in order to maintain progress towards delivery and benefits realisation
- Enforcing process discipline and improvements in areas of expertise, such as disciplined agile software delivery, production support processes and continuous DevOps pipelines development
- Helping with the development and running of the programme management office or project management practice
- Ensuring adherence to standard controls and driving teams to achieve compliance and framework, capability management, Security controls and technology architecture designs

**Requirements**:

- Insurance and/ or Financial Services Industry experience a must
- Graduate or postgraduate degree in Science, Business Administration, Social Sciences in psychology, economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- A project manager certification (PMP, Prince II) is required
- Demonstrable experience as a technology delivery manager with strong agile delivery experience with knowledge of waterfall methodologies
- Previous experience with large scale technology migration and integration preferred
- A good understanding of insurance product manufacturing and distribution processes and technology from end-to-end
- Able to assess process and system use and focus on KPIs to track progress and manage changes, eg, Confluence, and Jira
- Ability to develop cohesive working relationships with internal/external stakeholders e.g. Product Owner.
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with competing and changing priorities.
- Ability to bring analytical rigour, structure and effective solutions to poorly-defined problems
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, persuading and communication skills - applicable through multiple channels (written, spoken, workshops, presentations)
- Excellent team leader and player, able to lead others into action
- Excellent communication, facilitation, negotiation, and coaching skills
