Singapore Sumitomo Mitsui Banking Corporation (SMBC) Full time

Work closely with the Head of Innovation to drive a culture of innovation, and to build innovation-related competencies
- Design the plans to secure required resource for digital initiatives covering 1) corporate banking business, 2) SME & retail business, 3) ESG and 4) next generation technology capability enhancement (digital asset, block chain etc), and establish and enhance the team structure in the department.
- Capture the customer needs in their business and provide financial and non-financial digitalized solution
- Support IT team to develop a digital tool for digitalized banking operation
- Roll out programs and key projects that bring out the innovation across APAC organization
- Design solutions and manage Innovation projects development end to end, and work with key stakeholders such as business owners, external partners and end users etc.. to deliver business outcomes
- Engage with business heads and users for the purpose of embedding innovation-friendly processes, and introducing new ways of working
- Work collaboratively and cross functionally with key stakeholders inside SMBC group such as business planning, IT development, sales promotion and operation etc to remove obstacles and drive agile development to innovation
- Engage with external partners to discover opportunities and showcase SMBC as a leader in the innovation space
- Supervise the work of more junior team members as required
- Collaborate with relevant departments of Head Office to efficiently enhance business and governance in APAC region

**Job Requirements**:

- Working knowledge of Japanese banking law (this role may require understandong of Banking Act in Japan)m and to liaise with Head Office. Tje role needs to ensure that digitak solutions offered to clients are in compliance of Japanse Banking Law.
- Business planning experience in banking
- Good working experience in product development and management in digiltalization projects in FI
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Strategic mindset, influencng skills
- Able to inspire others
