DESIGNATION : Manager/Senior Manager (Enterprise Information Systems), IITS
RESPONSIBILITIES
- This position is for** **Office of Integrated Information Technology Services (IITS)
- Spearhead the design, development and maintenance of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related student information systems for both on-premise and cloud solutions
- Drive the entire lifecycle of software development projects from preparation and evaluation of tender / RFQ, system design, agile and secure development, QC and implementation of systems, to delivery of project / system documentation
- Evaluate and translate business requirements to system design and specifications, including any system integration with the PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related student information systems
- Manage outsourced contracts and development vendors, including vendor staff management, work assignments and effort estimations
- Review, QC and ensure high quality of technical deliverables, including work done by internal PeopleSoft development team members
- Coach and mentor internal PeopleSoft development team members
- Provide end-user support, including prepare and conduct unit, integration and user acceptance tests
- Form good user relations by cultivating trust and building good rapport with users
- Conduct post implementation reviews to gather users' feedback and plan for enhancements
- Implement and enforce PeopleSoft and related technical development standards as well as code reviews to ensure system flexibility, scalability, performance and security
- Monitor, experiment and advocate the use of new technologies (e.g. student cloud solutions) / releases / patches to continuously improve work processes and services
QUALIFICATIONS
- Degree / Diploma in Computer Science or IT
- At least 5 years of relevant technical lead experience in PeopleSoft Campus Solutions 9.x / 8.x, PeopleTools 8.5x / 8.4x, PeopleCode, BI (XML) Publisher, SQR and Application Engine, coupled with good experience in working closely with business analysts and users to understand and solve their challenges
- Development experience in low / no-code development platforms (e.g. OutSystems, Microsoft Power Automate), SAP, Digital Process and / or Robotic Process Automation will be an added advantage
- Extensive knowledge of software development life cycles and structured project development methodology
- Excellent communication (oral and written), interpersonal, facilitation, conflict management, negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
- Proactive self-starter who is result-driven and a team player
