Singapore ODIN MARINE SPECIALTY TANKERS (S) PTE. LTD. Full time

Odin Marine is looking for a Trainee/Junior Shipbroker to join the Specialty Tanker department at our Singapore office.

As a Trainee/Junior Ship Broker, you will work closely with the Chemical/Vegoil team to understand our business and develop commercial and operations skills necessary to help you succeed as a qualified tanker broker.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone with a go-getter attitude looking to embark on a challenging yet rewarding and fulfilling career in a highly specialized sector within the wider maritime field.

**Responsibilities**:

- Be part of a dynamic and driven team of ship brokers
- Work within the various departments to develop understanding and skills from each
- Assist brokers in undertaking commercial activities and developing relationships with customers
- Assist in monitoring market developments and acquiring market intelligence, data and information
- Continuously develop own skills and knowledge and contribute to the team effort while always maintaining high service quality standards

**Qualifications**:

- Min Diploma or Degree in Maritime Studies
- Prior work experience in ship broking, chartering or commercial operations preferred
- Able to work well under pressure, think on your feet and put in the long hours as necessary
- Able to always remain professional and ethical in all business dealings despite any adversities or pressure situations
- Be a team player and keep the best interests of the team and company as priority
