Overview*
- As a Health System, NUHS consists broadly of a clinical enterprise comprising NUH, the national centres, and other regional health services elements; and an academic enterprise comprising the NUS YLL School of Medicine, NUS Faculty of Dentistry, NUS SSH School of Public Health, various research centres and programmes._
- The clinical enterprise seeks to leverage on the NUH as its flagship institution, brand name and our strength as an AMC to establish NUH and the national centres as international referral centres of high repute; trusted partners for research collaborations and high quality academic exchanges._
Reporting to the Lead, International Collaboration Office, NUH International, you will propose and implement the strategies and cultivate international relations for the countries assigned. The incumbent will also ensure the adequacy and effectiveness of the institutions international relations framework and policies.
Job Responsibilities*
You will be responsible for the following**:
**_1) Foreign Collaborations Relations._**
- i) Implement strategies in line with NUH’s mission as AMC to position NUH as hospital of choice for international referral centres, research partners and clinical training centres for countries assigned._
**_2) Coordination of Care_**
- (i) _Foreign patients in Singapore may not be familiar with Singapore culture and hospital systems. As such, the personnel would need to assist the foreign patients to navigate around the appointment systems & coordinate their care so no hospital resources are overly burdened. This is not a dedicated service for foreign patient but operation/ administrative process to ensure hospital resources are utilized optimally._
Requirements*
- A recognized Degree or related qualification
- Minimum 3 years of international relations experience. Working experience with embassy or international relations division of AMC will be an added advantage.
- Strong acumen with in-depth understanding of Arabic Countries.
- Able to converse in Arabic language.
- Possess confidence to resonate with senior management leadership - internal and external stakeholders
- Ability to multi-task and work under tight timelines
- Good analytical and organization skills
- Excellent communication, problem solving, presentation, negotiation and interpersonal skill
