The Manufacturing Engineer will be based at Kallang, Singapore and mainly plans, directs, and coordinates manufacturing processes by providing technical support maintenance of manufacturing methods by performing the following duties in the manufacturing phase of the product lifecycle.

What a typical day looks like:
- Designs manufacturing processes within schedule and budgetary parameters.- Develops, evaluates, and improves manufacturing methods.- Analyzes and plans workforce utilization, space requirements, and workflow, and designs layout of equipment and workspace for maximum efficiency.- Confers with production group concerning product design and tooling to ensure efficient production methods.- Coordinates with customers to determine product specifications, bill of materials and design changes and responds to their request.- Estimates production times, staffing requirements, and related costs to provide information for management decisions.- Confers with management, engineering, and other staff regarding manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations to facilitate production processes.- Applies statistical methods to estimate future manufacturing requirements and potential.- Responsible for process-engineering capabilities focused on cost, quality, and delivery improvements in order to support a manufacturing organization.- Implement and evaluate proposed designs and processes for manufacturability- Prepare justification, purchase, and implement capital equipment for production- Conduct and support Validation activities on Manufacturing System/Equipment and/or process setup.- Oversee new process equipment production- Establish robust, repeatable, and reproducible process parameters- Trouble shoot process related issues- Participate to activities pertaining to cycle time and process improvements.- Evaluate and select various engineered materials- Implement statistical process analysis on new and existing products - Implement safety, productivity, and yield improvements.- Improve manufacturing techniques and through put.- Provide continuous development of manufacturing techniques that will improve in-house capabilities- Develop and maintain process documentation- Review processing methods- Interface with production of all activities associated with new process implementation and transfer- Assist in the development of training and provide training to production personnel during new technology transfer - Provide equipment maintenance and repair support as required.

The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
- Requires a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, or related field- Have prior and proven experience in Manufacturing Engineering- Demonstrates ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment and culture- Agile to changes and learn fast- Able to work under pressure and sensitive to datelines- Able to manage clear communications and collaborative in nature- Demonstrates working knowledge of functional concepts and understanding of Flex’s policies and procedures-
