AI Ethics and Governance Analyst

**WHAT YOU WILL DO**

The AI Ethics and Governance Analyst will be part of the AI Ethics team based in our Singapore office and working on AI risk analysis and governance processes within the organization.
Artificial intelligence is transforming the way we save and improve lives. The rising use of machine learning and related technologies, both across the globe and within our organization, brings potential risks of unintended consequences. Effective scaling up of AI requires responsible policies, processes, and implementations that respect ethics, fairness, inclusion, and prevent harm.

**Responsibilities**:

- **Perform and assist with AI Impact Assessments.** Play a vital role during the design and planning phase of AI systems. Work closely with AI Ethics and Governance Senior Scientist to identify and assess potential risks and impacts in AI projects, recommend appropriate mitigations, and prevent harm.
- **Co-ordinate efforts between AI Ethics team and stakeholders.** Ensure assessments are completed smoothly by assisting stakeholders with inquiries and providing advice on completed assessments.
- **Support development and implementation of policy processes.** Be involved with building a safe, responsible, and ethical AI ecosystem. Stay top of technological developments, best practices, and regulatory changes, and support the roll out of policy processes to improve compliance.

**WHAT YOU MUST HAVE**

**Education**

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or related field.

**Minimum Experience Required**

0 - 2 years working experience. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.

**Skills/Knowledge Required**
- Analytical mindset, self-motivated and driven to learn in a field with rapid developments. Knowledge of risk analysis, governance, statistics, and design of experiments. A technical or analytical background is a plus.
- Ability to work in a diverse and cross-functional team with attention to details. Experience in research and ability to organize and summarize findings in oral and written communication.
- Passion for building a fair and inclusive AI ecosystem with respect for all. Interest in AI ethics, explainable AI, data privacy and governance frameworks is a must.
