**Job Summary**
You will work closely with HEMS managers to prioritize and develop HE tools and RWE. These include conducting systematic literature review, meta-analysis, other types of outcomes research, as well as developing economic models and publications, to inform reimbursement strategy, product adoption and clinical practice change, hence, improving patient access.
Drive the development of materials to assess and demonstrate the value of medical devices and diagnostics developed, manufactured, and sold by BD.
Work closely with HEMS managers to prioritize HE & RWE needs, and capture inputs from the business, Medical Affairs, and global Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) Centre of Excellence (COE).
External engagement with key opinion leaders and research institutions for evidence generation may be necessary. This will require a good working knowledge of HE & RWE professional bodies, and ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities**
Capture evidence generation requirements:
- Collaborate closely with HEMS managers to identify key issues related to product value evidence and formulate methodologies to address these evidence gaps.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to provide insight into HE&RWE methods, wherever it can be embedded to research programs.
Manage and execute prioritized HE & RWE projects/deliverables:
- Prioritize HE&RWE projects in alignment with HEMS managers, and execute prioritized projects. Generate, evaluate, and refine evidence generation plans.
- Contribute to regional and local evidence generation strategies including patient registries, patient reported outcomes studies, economic models, retrospective/prospective studies.
- Collaborate with global HEOR COE and country Strategic Access teams to localize value tools and support the development of training materials.
- Develop publication strategies to ensure that scientific data resulting from the execution of HE&RWE are appropriately positioned in the public domain.
- Support HEMS managers in preparation of health technology assessment (HTA) or reimbursement dossiers and submissions.
- Manage external vendors where needed, e.g. request for proposal (RFP) creation, project management, contracting and procurement processes, etc.
Support BD HE & RWE thought leadership externally:
- Identify and establish relationships with HE&RWE professionals.
- Actively participate in professional societies to represent BD. Stay up-to-date on HE & RWE scientific methodologies and hot topics.

**Education & Experience**
- Prefer at least 2 years of experience in health economics, outcomes research, market access, and/or medical affairs functions within life-sciences/healthcare industry or research institutes (examples include biopharmaceuticals, medical devices, government HTA agencies, or consulting)
**Knowledge & Skills**:
- Full understanding of HE and RWE work concepts, principles and methodologies with experience executing projects successfully
- Research and analysis skills required including: systematic literature reviews, secondary data analysis methods (e.g. meta-analysis), manuscript writing, excel-based economic modeling (which includes the use of Visual Basic for Applications), data management, statistical analysis, etc.
