Following are the core responsibilities:

- Lead the planning and execution of the Windchill PLM system upgrade, ensuring a seamless transition to the latest version.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, IT teams, and business users to understand upgrade and customization requirements.
- Assess existing customizations and configurations, identifying areas for improvement and compatibility with the new version of Windchill.
- Develop a comprehensive upgrade strategy, including a detailed timeline, resource allocation, and risk assessment.
- Coordinate with Windchill vendors and service providers to gain insights into the upgrade process and best practices.
- Perform pre-upgrade testing of customizations, ensuring they align with the new Windchill version and meet business needs.
- Customize the Windchill PLM system to address specific organizational requirements and improve user experience.
- Implement necessary patches, updates, and security fixes, while preserving customizations during the upgrade process.
- Provide training and support to end-users on custom features and functionalities after the upgrade.
- Monitor post-upgrade performance and address any issues related to customization or system behaviour.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation related to customizations and the upgrade process.

**Job Requirement**
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience in managing and executing Windchill PLM system upgrades, including customizations.
- Strong background in customizing Windchill to meet specific business requirements.
- In-depth knowledge of Windchill architecture, configurations, and customizations.
- Familiarity with various Windchill modules and their interdependencies.
- Proficiency in scripting languages (e.g. Java, Jython, Perl) for customization and automation tasks.
- Experience with database systems, preferably Oracle or SQL Server.
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills related to Windchill implementations and customizations.
- Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to work with cross-functional teams.
- Project management skills to plan and execute upgrades and customization projects within designated timelines.
- Relevant certifications in Windchill or PLM systems will be a plus.
