We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Associate, Structured Banking - Commercial Banking.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- The Corporate & Structured Finance team (Structured Banking) works as a specialised team focused on the origination, structuring and execution of complex debt financing transactions for Commercial Banking clients across ASEAN (large and mid-market local corporates, international subsidiaries and non-bank financial institutions)
- The client base covers both existing and new-to-bank clients that are often at a transformative stage in their lifecycles, requiring a bespoke, scalable debt solution to finance capital expenditure, an event (eg acquisition, privatisation), international expansion and/or to monetise specific cashflow-generative assets
- The target client list includes both established businesses and companies operating in the digital/new economy, requiring specific analytical and communication skills to be able to articulate the key business proposition, strategy and financial metrics to both business and key risk stakeholders
- Work collaboratively with Commercial Banking coverage teams in Southeast Asia across different client segment to identifying potential term financing opportunities
- Support the coverage team from the point of origination to closing, including but not limited to preparation of client presentations, cash flow modelling, termsheets, credit risk papers and review of legal documentation
- Develop relationships with both internal and external stakeholders, including relationship managers, product partners, risk colleagues, external legal counsel, as part of the deal execution process
- Keep up-to-date on sector-specific themes and key financing precedents across the region, to support new financing proposals within a specific sector / jurisdiction
Requirements
- Experience working in relevant environments such as corporate banking, investment banking, leveraged & acquisition finance and/or structured finance
- Extensive experience of using relevant software packages which include Word, Excel, PowerPoint where financial modelling experience is vital
- A self-starter that is able to communicate effectively and break down complex financing concepts into a format that can be easily understood and marketed to both internal and external stakeholders
- Experience in planning and prioritising their own time effectively, concentrating on key commercial issues, aware of their responsibilities and committed to delivering these efficiently
- Ability to build trusted relationships within a team environment through consistent, high quality, on time delivery of assigned work
- Role relevant qualifications such as suitable professional qualifications are desirable but not essential
- A comprehensive understanding of the regulatory frameworks and compliance requirements associated with financial services
