Consolidation and General Ledger Accountant

Ensure timely and accurate preparation of group consolidation and financial reporting in accordance with SFRS(I) with analytical review of variances
- Prepare monthly consolidated group accounts, including recurring journal entries and consolidation journals
- Prepare and ensure accuracy and completeness of monthly accounts for holding company
- Perform analytical review procedures of group balance sheet and follow up with finance teams of subsidiaries on variance explanations
- Support in the review of financial information and reporting packs submitted by finance of subsidiaries to meet group reporting requirements and deadlines
- Preparation and review of notes to the accounts of the group financial statements together with a team of finance associates
- Prepare GST return, corporate tax and deferred taxation for holding company and liaise with tax agent to ensure timely filing
- Analyse and assess impact of new accounting standards and reporting requirements.
- Engage with external auditors on audit, tax and accounting issues to ensure smooth closure of year-end audit
- Perform assessment on the viability of the subsidiary in view of potential acquisitions/divestments as well as annual impairment exercise for the group
- Project accurate cash flow and coordinate inter-companies within the group Business for payments and receipts. To highlight borrowing needs and placement of excess cash with Group Treasury.
**Job Requirements**:
- Qualified Accountant with Degree in Accountancy or Professional Accounting Qualification
- Minimum 4 years relevant working experience with at least 2 years of external audit experience with Big 4 or SGX-listed companies
- Strong knowledge of advanced excel and Power Point
- Experience in SAP and BPC would be highly advantageous
- Familiar with divestment computations, SFRS(I) 16 and SFRS(I) 3
- Possess strong technical knowledge in group consolidation and be proficient in SFRS(I).
- Committed, confident personality with strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Able to work independently and as a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical skills and attention to details
- Experience in improving consolidation and reporting processes and to enhance overall reporting quality and accuracy would be advantageous
