Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager

About the job:
The Red Hat Procurement team has an exciting opportunity for a Procurement Strategic Sourcing Manager to join us in Singapore to support Global Workplace Solutions (GWS) and IT categories for our Asia Pacific (APAC) region. In this role, you will work closely with Red Hat’s leadership teams and engage with Red Hat stakeholders to develop procurement strategies, lead strategic sourcing initiatives, negotiate contracts, and manage strategic supplier relationships for APAC. Success will be measured against business metrics including savings, stakeholder satisfaction, contract management, and supplier management. You’ll report directly to the Manager, APAC Procurement.
What you will do:
- Engage and partner with GWS (Construction and Facilities Operations) and IT stakeholders to expand procurement support in delivering business requirements
- Collaborate with stakeholders to develop sourcing strategies to achieve cost optimization and operational efficiencies
- Dive deep to understand and account for the complexities and challenges of each business requirement into the sourcing initiatives
- Lead request for X (RFx) and supplier selection by leading competitive sourcing activities including supplier sourcing, bid analysis and evaluation, and recommendation of business awards
- Negotiate and fulfill contract agreements with selected suppliers to ensure optimal terms and conditions
- Build strategic relationships with preferred suppliers to deliver best value, cost savings, innovation, and service level improvements through well-defined performance-based metrics
- Review and analyze current spend and supplier base to identify opportunities for value enhancement by reducing overall cost and improving service delivery
- Ensure governance and compliance through adherence with regulations, policies, and best practices
- Promote cross-team collaboration to identify opportunities for synergy and to standardize ways of working to promote a future-ready organization
- Actively support and participate in source-to-pay transformational activities to build procurement organizational capabilities and improve procurement efficiency
What you will bring:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, supply chain, or related field
- 8+ years of strategic procurement experience for GWS and IT categories
- Excellent communication, time management, and interpersonal skills
- Experience in developing and leading strategic sourcing initiatives for GWS and IT spend
- Solid analytical skills demonstrated in performing bid analysis, cost analysis, fair-value analysis, and scenario modeling
- Complex problem-solving skills with the ability to develop and implement creative solutions
- Solid experience with contract negotiations at senior levels
- Experience in building relationships with a diverse set of stakeholders and suppliers
- Demonstrated influencing skills and the ability to gain agreement among a wide range of stakeholders
- Experience leading multi-disciplined projects with mínimal amount of supervision
- Customer-service oriented with a team-focus
