Distribution - Asia Pacific - Singapore

Purpose

As a member of the Asian Clients sales team based in Singapore, the job is to actively promote build the GAM’s mutual funds / managed portfolio business within the Asia Pacific region ex Japan/ Australia. Target clientele should include but not limited to private banks, selective retail banks, insurance companies and fund-of-funds operations or other financial institutions such as family offices.

Main Duties & Responsibilities- Overall responsibility for client activities in Singapore;- To identify and establish productive relationships with key distributors within the region and their product interests.- Work in collaboration with other team members, to achieve or exceed sales target.- To maintain, develop & enhance the relationships with existing clients via building sufficient rapport with product gatekeepers and also IAs/ FAs level.- To formulate calling programs to solicit business from the target clientele as well as to monitor sales progress periodically- To work closely with existing team members to provide cross coverage.

Qualifications & Experience- University graduate or higher degree. CFA / CAIA qualification is preferred;- Approximately 8+ years of experience, with at least 3-5 years sales experience in the asset management industry;- Strong distribution / institutional sales experience;- Good client network in the distribution segment, in particular private banking is preferred;- Fluent in English and Mandarin, knowledge of other Asian languages is an advantage;- Willing to travel.
