Key job purpose- Conduct investigations on the bonding and debonding of adhesively bonded composite joints with modified adhesives via induction heating by developing a in-situ heating - peeling testing device.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deep drive into the modification of adhesives with magnetic particles and investigate the hysteresis heating response under the induction heating.- Able to fabricate the long fiber reinforced composite materials with modified adhesives for their joining and investigate the debonding response Develop necessary test matrix to do comprehensive parametric studies- Develop in-situ induction heating and debond test set-up for the peel tests.- Capabilities in advanced finite element or machine learning tools for process optimisation- Disseminate the research outcomes into Journal publications, conference presentations and patents, where appropriate.
Job Requirements:
- PhD degree in materials engineering or mechanical engineering or chemical engineering with good relevant track record and experience.
