**What you will be doing**:

- Transform data into formats that are easy to consume and analyze
- Process and analyze large 16S and shotgun metagenomics datasets
- Integrate and interpret multivariate datasets
- Conduct visualization and exploratory analysis of large datasets
- Define clear technical specifications from high-level business requirements
- Determine the most fruitful approaches, and have the motivation to explore them independently
- Communicate effectively with our team of advisors and experts in biotech and healthcare, and draw on life sciences literature for guidance
- Present technical results to a non-technical leadership audience
- Write scientifically, and contribute to publications describing our findings

**What you will need**:

- MS/PhD in Biostatistics, Bioinformatics, Information Technology, Computer Science or related field
- Proficiency with Linux, Python and R
- Experience with supervised and unsupervised learning algorithms
- Be able to work independently and pivot quickly
- Be able to thrive in a fast-paced start-up environment

**What is good to have**:

- Experience in handling large sequencing dataset
- Familiar with Java and Nextflow

**Salary**: $5,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
