Laundry Assistant

Responsible for delivering soiled linens to laundry; sorts, washes, dries, irons, folds and returns clean linens to resident rooms. Clean laundry room, sorting and soiled linen tubs/trolleys. Perform minor sewing duties as needed.
- Collect residents’ soiled linens/clothes from the rooms for washing and drying in machines daily.
- Sort linens by the type of fabric and ensure the linens are washed at the correct temperature.
- Mend residents’ clothes if torn.
- Check all linen and mark according to laundry list.
- Ensure residents’ laundry are named accordingly.
- Sort out all soiled linens into different wash load.
- Make sure all linens and towels are folded according to home’s requirements.
- Keep proper accounting and recording of all items
- Ensure that linens and clothing items are in good condition.
- Carry out laundry tasks based on guidelines.
- Ensure all chemical used in laundry room are replenished as required.
- Maintain all areas of the laundry, ensure that it is clean, hygenic and tidy.
