Our Legal & Compliance Team (L&C)

Role

We seek a mid to senior level lawyer to join our team. You will work closely with and be a key business partner to our engineering and project management teams at Changi Airport, and take a systems-wide approach to managing liability at Changi Airport. Your work scope would include providing legal support and advice in calling for tenders, managing construction contracts, and disputes. If you are highly capable, motivated, energetic, mature and armed with a resilient ‘can-do’ mind-set, please consider this opportunity. You should at least meet the following requirements:

- LL.B or equivalent from a reputable university and have been called to the bar in Singapore or another commonwealth jurisdiction
- At least 5 to 10 years’ post qualification experience (PQE) in a top tier law firm and/or MNC with:

- substantial general litigation/dispute-resolution experience as well as experience in handling construction disputes by way of negotiation, mediation, litigation or arbitration;
- strong interest and experience in the engineering and construction fields, in particular familiarity with construction contracts (e.g. PSSCOC, REDAS, SIA and associated contracts such as consultancy and maintenance contracts), project tendering process, documentation and the various legal issues (e.g. delays and variation) that arise in the life-cycle of a construction project;
- strong and practical drafting skills
- Possess a strong work ethic, and desire to achieve excellence
- Strong business acumen and experience with e-commerce would be advantageous
- Ability to work proactively and independently under tight time frames in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work effectively and collaboratively cross-functionally, think practically and be solutions-oriented
