Head of Regulatory Compliance Apj

**Job Responsibilities -**
- Position is responsible for all import and export compliance and operational activity in the APJ Region.
- Position supports the Global VP Regulatory Compliance and the Director of EMEA/APJ Compliance to monitor and manage Regulatory Compliance risk and exposure for the Corporation, its APJ subsidiaries including the personal liability concerns for Tech Data Sr. Executives and local country Executives.
- Define, develop and oversee transactional processes, procedures and systems surrounding Import and Export compliance. Initiates operational processes to support new acquisitions in the Region.
- Management of the APJ Compliance team including, but not limited to, employee technical development, performance management, workflow productivity and rebalance, departmental reorganization, continuous improvement of processes, program; perform compliance self-assessment of departmental internal controls; Perform compliance self-assessments of import-export processes in the Region.

**Additional duties as assigned -**
- University degree with 10 years of relevant experience.
- Advanced degree preferred. Extensive experience with import-export regulations including hands on experience with U.S. export licensing regulations.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant compliance laws and regulations.
- Work in similar compliance role and capacity for Hi Tech or electronics Strong knowledge of encryption and/or products containing this controlled technology.
- APJ Customs Compliance and import operational knowledge and experience required.
