[What the role is]

The Strategic Planning team is looking for a passionate officer to be part of a dynamic team to chart the way forward for the tourism sector. You will be part of a team that will identify opportunities, risks, and formulate mid
- to long-term strategies to define the next phase of tourism growth. As custodian of the corporate planning cycle, SP drives the direction and interfaces with internal business units to develop short
- to mid-term workplans. SP also develops, reviews and tracks organisational performance to ensure alignment with STB's strategic outcomes and importantly, to ensure that sufficient resources are given to STB to achieve our aspirations and goals.

**[What you will be working on]**

As part of the Strategic Planning team, this role will allow you the opportunity to work on the tourism strategies that will help chart the way forward for the sector in a post-COVID operating environment. Beyond strategy development, this role will involve performing data analytics to review, forecast and manage STB’s KPIs to ensure alignment with overall tourism strategic objectives; as well as lead the organisation in making strategic data-driven decisions. You will actively develop and review STB's KPIs, such as the Management Contract and Report Card, and work with business units to manage the reporting of the results at key platforms, ensuring that STB is on track to achieve our targets and sufficiently is resourced for our intended work plans.

You will also have the opportunity to shape incentive schemes to support tourism industries’ needs, and work closely with teams across STB to understand how the schemes are utilised by businesses. The role will involve the use of analytics, reporting, and governing for policy compliance, to ensure the incentive schemes are able to drive tourism outcomes.

**Key Relationships**:
Within STB, you will be able to engage across all business teams and develop a keen understanding of the tourism landscape and its operating environment. You will also work closely with MTI and other government agencies, where you would be able to learn more about the work of other economic agencies and how their work is integrated to further Singapore's economic development.

**[What we are looking for]**
- At least 5 years of work experience with proven track record
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Analytical thinking and good business acumen
- Good stakeholder management skills
- Comfortable working with numbers
- Exposure to strategy-related work will be advantageous
