**Overview of Business Development position**:
The Business Development role, within investment, consists in helping the Investment department globally in its
interactions with brokers and exchanges, to expand Squarepoint’s trading opportunities and enable business growth.
Within the Investment department, you will:
- Help manage broker and exchange relationships regarding Squarepoint’s trading activities
- Collaborate with front office and corporate stakeholders to onboard new trading venues and asset classes
- Maintain an at-large awareness of market trends and align opportunities with Investment initiatives
- Coordinate business priorities with various Technology teams
**Skillset required For Position**:
- At least 3 years of experience working in finance
- Strong understanding of trading and market structure
- Effective communication skills and experience negotiating with third parties
- Broad understanding of trading technology
- Capable of managing several projects at a time and familiar with Jira/Confluence tools
- Programming experience in q/SQL or python is a plus
